Sadness, anxiety, sorrow and other negative emotions reflect badly on the brain
The Sadness and longing at times, overcome every person and that is perfectly fine. But if a person is always in the negative thoughts and worries in the most insignificant trifles, this is a big problem. Recently, researchers from the University of London conducted a study and found that regular anxiety about the past and future leads to the accumulation in the brain of harmful substances. Subsequently, it becomes the cause of development of dementia, specifically of Alzheimer's disease. About the negative effects of bad thoughts we know for a long time, but this study is interesting because scientists told exactly what substances accumulate in the brain and lead to dementia.
In multiple studies, scientists have found that during the development of Alzheimer's disease in the human brain increases the level of two proteins: Tau-protein and beta-amyloid. Each of them degrades human mental abilities and in General operate the same way:
theAccording to the study, the results of which were published in the scientific if you frequently stay in a negative thought, these substances begin to accumulate in the brain structures. Subsequently, they clog microtubules, slow thinking and eventually lead to dementia. Exactly how sadness, grief and anxiety cause the body to produce these substances in large amounts, scientists are not yet clear. But the fact that their number is more prone to despondency, more people has been proven in the course of the experiment.
In the scientific study involved 360 people aged 50 years. For two years they regularly filled out a questionnaire about how you react to life's difficulties and how positive thinking about their past and future. Also, the subjects often solved logic problems and passed the tests and the level of anxiety. Further, the study participants were measured the amount of Tau-protein and beta-amyloid.
it Turns out that in the sad times in our brain there are big changes
Leading to dementia substances in larger quantities was discovered in people from the questionnaire which revealed a strong predisposition to repeated negative experiences. Tests on the logic they did much worse than those who indicated that thinking more positively.
According to one of the study's authors Fiona Carragher (Fiona Carragher) understanding that negative thoughts lead to such dangerous ailments as Alzheimer's disease, can save many people. That Tau-protein and beta-amyloid provoke dementia, they have long known. But the fact that these substances are actively produced with the pessimistic way of life is a new and important discovery.

Now it turns out that to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease can be adhering to a more optimistic Outlook on life. According to researchers, this can be done through meditation — the regular intervals when a person forgets the complexity of life and just concentrated on my breathing, no doubt a good influence on his emotional state.
Learn what are the meditation, I wrote in the beginning of 2020. It is believed that during meditation people have nothing to think. Beginners it is difficult to do, because the occurrence of thoughts is a natural process and beginning practitioner all the people face this problem. This ability only comes with experience, so during the first session simply to recognize its existence. Scientists believe that learning to meditate can be very fast — read more about this .
