New theory could explain the Central paradox of the Universe

British theoretical physicists have developed a theory that could solve one of the biggest mysteries in the Universe: why is the expansion rate of our universe is accelerating rather than slowing, as predicted by the known laws of physics. According to an article published on the portal , the hypothesis of “massive gravity” can modify the General theory of relativity, explaining simultaneously the inequality of the velocities of expansion of the Universe.
Why the universe is expanding?
Currently, the main explanation of the exact origins of our universe, is considered a hypothesis about the Big Bang, in which all known particles constituting not only the space around us, but ourselves took off from a single point, thereby creating the familiar Universe. According to the General , the gravitational forces of all objects of our universe should gradually extend the Universe, slowing down the rate of its expansion.
However, in 1998, scientists realized that the speed of expansion of the Universe does not slow down, but even faster. For a long time it was believed that the title of dark energy can claim all the known vacuum, but still wasn't carried out enough experiments confirming such an unusual hypothesis.
Slow the expansion of the Universe can be explained without the participation of dark energy
