Competitor Tesla launches unmanned Shuttle for "smart" cities
Source:The Company Fisker Automotive, recently announced the formation of a luxury , able to oust the position of Tesla, continues to work in other directions. Recently, the company project unmanned space Shuttle, able to transport passengers to «smart» cities.
Until about the Shuttle is almost nothing to tell. It is only known that the development is carried out together with the Chinese company Hakim Unique Group, invested in Fisker Automotive a tidy sum. The Shuttle will be called Orbit and after will have all chances to become the public transport of the new generation — compared with other similar buses, it will have more seats. Exactly how much — not specified, but if we take a comparison of similar projects from other manufacturers, which usually has six seats, it can be assumed that due to the lack Fisker Orbit cabin number of seats may be increased to eight pieces. In addition, inside the cabin will install a big screen, which will display the current route stops.
Fisker note that the Orbit does not have to wait long. On the roads a "smart" city Hakim Unique bus will be available by the end of 2018. Given that Hakim Unique Group has branches in different cities and countries, it can be assumed that the brainchild of Fisker will appear in different places of our planet.
The Idea of an unmanned Shuttle is actively promoted by developers from different countries. There are similar projects in Russia. Thus, the company is developing unmanned modular platform «MATRЕSHKA» on the basis of which it will be possible to mount a passenger Shuttle or flatbed on electric. Earlier it was reported that «nesting dolls» have already begun to be tested in the Russian Innopolis. At the moment their development is ongoing.
