The Lunar landing module of "Genesis" private Israeli company SpaceIL was able to resume its journey to the Earth after the control center, the mission conducted the second required orbital maneuver of the device, reports Space News. This maneuver module was supposed to do in the early weeks, however, before the start of the correcting engines happened . The next few days, SpaceIL engineers spent on the analysis of telemetry and to search for possible causes of this error which never occurred in the computer simulations of the flight.

On the official page of SpaceIL on Twitter said that on the night of March 1, employees were able to eliminate the cause of the failure and successfully conducted a second maneuver during which the engine worked for four minutes. In the near future apparatus needs to enter an elongated elliptical orbit, the farthest point which is at the distance of 131 thousand kilometers from Earth.

"Over the past few days we have managed to solve a few problems. This is quite normal, when a new spacecraft face some troubles. We all eliminated", — commented ofer Doron, the representative of Israel Aerospace Industries, to create the lander.

"restarting the computer has not been associated with failures in the real hardware. We managed to get rid of them by sending to the probe a few software commands. Nothing serious happened, but I'm not surprised that we have other problems in the coming weeks. Not all can be checked on the Ground," added Doron.

In the coming weeks is scheduled to conduct additional manoeuvres that will raise the orbit of the machine until then, until it reaches. The satellite of our planet, the probe should reach roughly to April 11. After that, the control center of the mission will start preparing his landing on the moon in Clarity, where he worked for about two days.

The Objective of the unit will be photographing the surface of the satellite, as well as the quality of the magnetic field. If all goes well, «Genesis» will be the first ever private spacecraft that will reach the moon and conduct scientific research.
