The Method that was used by the Japanese is called "photodynamic therapy" and it is based on the use of photosensitive particles. These particles are injected into the tumor (or blood in order to reach the desired location) and then activate the light with a certain wavelength. Efficiency was tested during a series of experiments: laboratory animals with cancer of different localization introduced the photosensitive substance which was accumulated in the tumor. Then, in the tumor site was placed on the implant and the tumor was illuminated alternately with light of red and green. As a result, in all animals the tumor significantly decreased in size, and their growth has also slowed down. Moreover, some laboratory animals even cured of cancer this way.
