CityHawk — passenger version of the aircraft Cormorant for urban transportation

Increasingly in recent times various companies have reported developments in the creation of passenger aircraft, so there is no doubt that the creation of a full «flying taxi» — it is not so distant future. The only question is which companies will present a ready consumer product. Perhaps it will be the Israeli Tactical Robotics, which has developed an apparatus with vertical takeoff Cormorant, on which now and preparing a product for the masses.
Tactical Robotics together with their colleagues from AirMule (both companies are owned by Urban Aeronautics) is currently actively engaged in the development and modification of apparatus. Future flying car called the CityHawk. It is based on Fancraft technology, the essence of which is to use propellers hidden inside the body of the rotors. Due to this, CityHawk has no exposed blades and wings, slowing the takeoff and landing. As the fuel used is compressed hydrogen.

In the future is not excluded the installation of the design CityHawk motor. However, as fuel will be the same compressed hydrogen. The use of this fuel eliminates the emissions of carbon dioxide and other exhaust gases that will not contaminate the atmosphere. The designers took care about safety of passengers: CityHawk will be equipped with «superfast» parachute system, which will instantly unfold vystrelival up in case of trouble.
In the design CityHawk will have 4 seats (including the pilot). While CityHawk can get and technology of automatic control, which is already being tested on Cormorant. Company Urban Aeronautics plans to complete the development within 5 years.
