SpaceX first successful landing of a Falcon 9 rocket on the coast of California Source:

Yesterday evening, SpaceX launched a reusable Falcon 9 rocket from California, and then to carry out one of the most iconic landings in the history of the missiles of the company. This time SpaceX was planning to land the carrier on a concrete pad right next to the start and not on a floating barge in the ocean. If successful, this would be the first successful landing on the West coast of America. Everything went smoothly. Until now, all ground landing SpaceX has occurred at Cape Canaveral in Florida, where there is a greater number of launches of the company.

There at two SpaceX launch pad; the company was able to put on them 11 missiles. Every time the company tried to put a rocket on solid ground, she did it.

SpaceX won California

SpaceX wanted to land the rocket on the air force base Vandenberg in California. This place the company leases in 2015 — before there launched missiles Titan. Despite the concreting of the site, permission could only be obtained now; before that the rockets landed on a barge in the Pacific ocean.

Because it is landing on the site of the Vandenberg was the first, nearby residents heard the triple sonic boom. Cape Canaveral is a common phenomenon. Air force base Vandenberg sent out a warning to local residents before today's flight.

October 7, at 10:40 PM local time, SpaceX successfully launched and landed its Falcon 9 rocket, marking the 62nd flight of the vehicle. It was also successful 12 ground fit for the company and the first on the coast of California.

If the test rockets, the Falcon 9 and then Falcon Heavy will go strictly according to plan, perhaps the first SpaceX will send humans to Mars.
