Scientists have found differences between serial killers, male and female
Source:The vast majority of serial killers are men, but there are also plenty of evidence that they can be women. Psychology Professor Marissa Harrison believes that women and men deal with their victims in different ways and on different occasions. Historically, men are hunters of large prey, and women in skilled gatherers of plants, grains and other such foods. Based on this, the psychologist Marissa Harrison asked the question: did the ancient role of the principles of murders committed by criminals, male and female?
To find out, she teamed up with colleagues Adam Jordan Gott and Susan Hughes. They collected archival data on 55 serial killers are male, and about the same number of female assassins. All of them from 1856 to 2009, committed the murders three or more people, with a weekly periodicity.

Archives showed a sharp difference between the principles of their murders. As it turned out, most serial killers of the female gender had secondary or higher education, then the men were members of the lower classes. As a murder weapon, women chose poison, whereas men are strangled or shot his victims.
The fact that evolution is still influenced their methods of killing, psychologists were convinced, by looking at other statistics. Female killers, like their "ancestors-gatherers" and did not go far from his familiar surroundings. Their victims were close friends who didn't even have to chase. Men, in turn, in most cases stalked their victims.
In our sample there were two serial women killer, who during the time their crimes were committed is similar to the pursuit behavior. However, archival records indicate that these crimes were also involved men.
