In the Netherlands proposed to heat the home servers

To help them is coming to Dutch startup Nerdalize, offering to use this heat for heating dwellings of ordinary citizens, Digital Trends.
The Idea is that all heat generated by the servers, to allow for heating of houses. Thus tenants will get heated absolutely for free. In order to begin to be heated this high-tech way, simply sign the agreement with a data center and install servers at home. Thus, people will get free heat while the data center will free yourself from the additional area that will be able to rent.
The Authors of this original solution stress that the server-side heating will allow residents to save annually approximately $ 350 on heating the home, and the company will be able to reduce costs associated with cooling equipment.
The First lucky ones will begin to test the new heating system in August — just participating in the experiment at this stage, there will be 42 houses, but the desire already expressed 3,500. They will connect later, if everything goes smoothly.
Previously, use of the heat generated by the servers, the German company Cloud & Heat, but its proposal was different in that for one server we had to pay about 15 000 dollars.
