What is a "crossover"? It is a work of art, which mixed the characters and worlds of two or more unrelated works. For examples from the gaming industry are not far to seek: Injustice: Gods Among Us, Mario Kart 8, Mortal Kombat X, Super Smash Bros. in all of those games face each other heroes from different universes. But no one even could not imagine that the famous Japanese company Nintendo in cooperation with French publisher Ubisoft will surprise us with a completely unexpected crossover, which will meet the popular characters and franchises .

It All began with an idea born in 2014, the head creative Director of the Studio Ubisoft Milan David, Soliani. He thought it would be fun to introduce Mario and his friends with the crazy rabbits that became the hallmark of Ubisoft along with the series of Assassin’s Creed. A prototype game was created in just a few weeks after that David went to Japan, on a visit to the "father Mario" — the famous Japanese game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto. Miyamoto has carefully studied the prototype and, to the surprise of the French, gave them the green light to further develop the game. The company Nintendo has reserved the right to carefully control the level of quality for future games, because for the Japanese it was important that loved by millions of players characters were presented in the right light. So on the light appeared Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle.

The Story starts in the apartment of a young inventor who created the amazing "helmet SUPERLINE", able to transform the original two subject in one. During the transition from one reality to another, some rabbits under the influence of the helmet turned into villains, and someone, on the contrary, went to the heroic traits of the main characters of the series Super Mario Bros. So was born the rabbit, Mario, rabbit, Princess Peach, Luigi and rabbit rabbit Yoshi. Characters, of course, scattered around the Mushroom Kingdom, and gather the team together will have to the player. The place of falling of the washing machine time attracted the attention of Mario and his friends. Realizing that the Kingdom was under serious threat, the brave plumber decides to join forces with his newly-eared double and his comrades together to defeat evil. Shoulder to shoulder, the heroes have to go through fire, water and copper pipes, and in a literal sense – it pipes that abound in the game. Mushroom Kingdom is divided into four huge worlds, each of which has 8 levels and two bosses.

As the main genre of the game the French developers chose "tactical strategy". To understand what was going on, remember the famous game series X-COM, Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics. The basic mechanics of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is reminiscent of these games. A group of three characters (all player will be available to 8 characters) is moved to locations, solving puzzles, collecting gold coins and finding hidden treasure chests. From time to time from the study of the world distract them battle with the evil rabbits and terrible bosses. And that's when all the fun begins.

The Combat system in the game will be familiar to those who at least once faced with the genre of Turn-based tactics. The playing field is divided into cells. Your units are on the one hand, and hostile on the other. Teams take turns all the characters. The aim of the battle as the destruction of all without exception of enemies, and killing a certain number of continuously reviving enemies. Each weapon has many versions, differing in power and a number of useful features. More powerful guns tend to be more effective against certain types of enemies.

Some weapons have very special effects that affect enemy. For example, the effect of honey sticks the opponent to the ground and allows you to run and hide from your future shots. The effect of "dropping" flings the opponent on a few cells, but if he falls into the pit, takes additional health. Effect "vampirism" literally sucks the life out of a wounded enemy with each new move. The effect of "ink" does not allow the character to use a gun. And the effect of "petrification" deprives him of the opportunity to perform any action. New, more powerful weapons you can buy for gold coins in tactical combat center, which was opened at the castle of Princess Peach. Each character has two unique abilities.
