The Russian company «Yandex», apparently, is going to develop a system of automatic driving. The official website has already published a number of vacancies. The company is looking for developer of unmanned vehicles and developer-researcher of unmanned vehicles.

Yandex wants to make the movement of people more safe, affordable and convenient. We set ourselves an ambitious target: to be among the first companies in the world, created the technology for unmanned vehicle control. To make it happen, we create a team of passionate, smart and motivated professionals — said page with a vacancy.

The Developer will have to deal with sensors, actuators and controllers of the cars, to create a simulation of the surrounding world and write control algorithms machines.

Developed by the researcher will compare the data from cameras, lidar and radar. It will train the system to recognize traffic signs, traffic lights, markings and other cars. In addition, he will have to deal with the modeling, planning and forecasting unmanned vehicle routes — this feature is useful for the car in order to figure out all the options before you perform the maneuvers.

The Project apparently started quite recently, so no details on the future of the autopilot, on the company's website is not reported. In any case, the mass adoption of programs of automatic control are still far.
