Record: India has put into orbit the satellite 104

Today, February 15, the Indian space research organization (ISRO) successfully launched a carrier rocket PSLV-C37 and successfully put into orbit the satellite 104. The launch took place at 7 o'clock in the morning Moscow time, and after 17 minutes after the start of the flight specialists started bringing satellites into orbit. Due to the large number of spacecraft operation had to be divided into several stages. To launch into orbit all satellites took only half an hour.

Kiran Kumar, the President of ISRO, held a press conference, during which he congratulated employees with success and confirmed that all the satellites were put into orbit.

The largest satellite on Board PSLV-C37, weighed 715 pounds. It was made to monitor the Earth's surface, and he began to go into orbit first, reaching a height of 505 miles. The rest of the spacecraft — conventional nanosatellites, whose weight is not more than 10 pounds. 88 satellites owned by an American company, Planet Labs, all of them designed for the shooting of our planet from orbit. Eight American satellites from the company Spire Global is made for tracking ships. Israel, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UAE also used the services of ISRO and sent into orbit on a single nanosatellite.

With This launch, India has set a new record in the space industry by the number of simultaneously running in space vehicles. The previous record belonged to Russia in 2014, the domestic rocket put into orbit satellites 37.
