Japanese experiment on the collection of space debris failed

The spacecraft «Konotori-6», launched by the Japanese space Agency a few days to collect space debris in orbit, so he had high hopes, but, alas, he could not cope with the task.

News Agency RIA «news» with reference to the channel NHK reported that the cosmic garbage man had to stretch a metal cable whose total length is 700 meters, then let him electricity. Japanese engineers were confident that with the help of current the cable will be to attract dust and debris, shifting them towards the Earth in order that they began to fall and burned in the atmosphere. Large fragments that failed to disappear in the fall, was to drown in the Pacific ocean.

Unfortunately, the cargo ship could not cope with this task, but delivered to the ISS nearly six tons of payload, including new batteries and products. The first attempt to deploy the rope was held on January 28, 2017, but failed, so «Konotori-6» decided to give a second chance. Alas, this attempt also failed, so today the ship begins to enter the dense layers of Earth's atmosphere, and not pribyvshij in orbit.
