American tiltrotor V-280 Valor for the first time rose into the air

The development of the convertiplane Bell deals with the support of Lockheed Martin and a number of companies specializing in the production of aviation equipment. V-280 Valor is a modified and improved version of the convertiplane V-22 Osprey.

Valor Differences are not only in the use of less expensive and more lightweight composite materials in the manufacture of the housing and the individual parts, but in a major upgrade of the entire structure. So, by moving the engines to the fuselage, the developers were able to get Valor to fly even on one engine.

The Tiltrotor V-280 is designed to control two members of the crew, able to carry up to 5.5 tons of cargo and can be used to transport people in the back of the unit can hold up to 14 people. The combat range of the V-280 is 1500 kilometers and a top speed — 520 kilometers per hour.
