Director Ridley Scott is seriously interested in VR technologies

I Think that most of our readers one way or another familiar with the work of the British Director . It is to him we owe the emergence of such remarkable films as "Alien" (1979), "blade Runner" (1982), "Gladiator" (2001), "the Martian" (2015), and many other famous paintings. In recent years, Scott is actively seeking new ways of influencing the audience, one of which was a virtual reality. For these purposes, the famous Director has even founded a separate company solely dedicated to creating VR content.

Ridley Scott has always been interested in new promising technologies, like many of his colleagues, to take at least James Cameron or Paul Verhoeven. Even in 2015, Scott announced that he began work on a mysterious VR project. But only in 2017, the Director announced that his Studio RSA Films opens a separate company RSA VR, which will focus on the work on content for virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality. The first project the new Studio will be a small VR is the app based on the movie , which comes out on the big screens on may 10.

"We are seriously passionate about virtual reality in the past few years. And now we have a separate company that will actively develop this area of our work," — said the President of the Studio RSA.

Previously, the employees of the Studio RSA Films together with the developers from the Studio The Third Floor released a little game The Martian VR Experience that recreates a number of scenes from the misadventures of astronaut Mark Watney, who by coincidence was abandoned on Mars. The truth here is game users for some reason are not appreciated, putting her very low scores. I suppose that Ridley Scott and his team still has room to grow in terms of the quality of their VR-products. Let's see what they will do about a new "Alien."
