the Fate of cryptocurrency in Russia

The High court has asked the experts of the Russian popular front (onf), reports . They are asked to develop a common position on the prospects of blocking «fraudulent sites that sell cryptocurrencies».

Before the court decision was commented by the initiator of the appeal to the Prosecutor — Deputy Kostenko.

We Consider it necessary that the Supreme court has developed a position for blocking sites in the cryptocurrency, as the absence of legislation, containing basic concepts «cryptocurrency», «blockchain» and other, does not preclude the identification of activities of organizations with signs of financial pyramids. Moreover, the courts considering the statements of the Prosecutor on blocking of sites for the sale of the cryptocurrency should take into account the requirements of the law «On consumer protection», according to which is prohibited to mislead the consumers concerning consumer properties and qualities of the purchased product.

The Deputy did not miss the opportunity to advertize activity.

In this issue, in order to avoid adopting contradictory judicial acts of higher courts should be developed a clear position on the issue of blocking of sites for the sale of cryptocurrency. And for that, I have to address the Supreme court sent the corresponding Deputy inquiry with a request for clarification in the appropriate review of the position regarding the possibility of locking in a judicial order sites for the sale of cryptocurrency.

Obviously, the court will say no. Prohibit sites about the coins prior to the adoption of the long-awaited legislation on their regulation, it would be very stupid.
