Experts from the University of Minnesota has created a new unmanned aerial vehicle SUAV:Q, which is an aerodynamic wing. The wing is tested in and reported that the first tests were successful. The UAV can vertically take off and land like a helicopter.

The Apparatus consists of four parts which allow the drone to develop into a kind of box. After takeoff, the device straightens all four sections, turning into hovering over the surface of the wing. It can fly at altitudes of up to 120 meters, wingspan SUAV:Q — two meters, and weighs about four kilograms.
