Everyone loves to do a selfie, but to look at other people's selfies – no

The So-called selfie (the term was even added to the Oxford English dictionary), which are surrounded by modern social networks represent the imprinting itself on the camera. This cultural phenomenon is now so widespread that the self does not disdain neither the first value nor famous politicians, or even . But a social survey conducted by psychologists from the Munich Ludwig-Maximilian University, showed a very unexpected result. It turned out that people love to do selfies, but look at other people as "Sebaste" — not really.

A Survey conducted by the Network showed that 82% of respondents with pleasure would prefer a social network with fewer selfies. The participants of the survey consider their own selfie manifestation of self-irony and sincerity, but other people are – pure self-promotion and hypocrisy. That's the paradox: my selfie is good and others is just disgusting. Selfie today is really incredibly popular. According to Google statistics, only in 2014, the inhabitants of our planet have done more than 90 million selfies. That number is now probably much more.

People's Opinions regarding this cultural phenomenon are divided. Someone sees them creative expression and a way of entering into contact with other people, and someone's selfie seem to be a clear manifestation of narcissism in the advanced form. Some doctors, for example, believe that the passion of a man photographing himself with time may lead to mental disorder and to fully absorb it. While looking today for some people, Willy-nilly, I note to myself that maybe this theory is not so far from the truth.

The survey involved a total of 238 respondents, residing in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. 77% of respondents regularly make a selfie. 67% of study participants agree that the selfie craze could potentially lead to negative consequences. And they are not so far from the truth. Indeed, in recent years, cases of death of lovers "cebasek" that will fall from any building or bridge, went in order to make a spectacular photo, then shot with your own gun, posing with him in front of the camera.
